While I was at Walmart yesterday, I looked around the clothing area for those Faded Glory shirts that ads had been saying were lowered from $5 to $4. I picked one up, though I was really disappointed to see that they don't make any of their stuff in XS.
Can you see how loose the shirt is on me? It'll be a pain when I wear it, I'm sure, because it'll travel and I'll be constantly readjusting it. But I love the cool dip dye ombre thing it's got goin' on.
Even though $4 is wonderfully cheap, I won't be buying any more of these shirts. Faded Glory stuff is relaxed fit as it is; not making anything in my size just makes their clothing that much larger on me.
While at Walmart I also noticed the Miley Cyrus & Max Azria Knit Boyfriend Blazer. It's lightweight and soft for only $14 and I just had to have it!
Underneath the blazer I'm wearing the Miley Cyrus & Max Azria Waffle Cami in Jet Black.
I got it in extra small. It looks better than the photos convey. I just wish the sleeves were longer. When I bend my arms, my bony wrists show.
I kept the tags on, and next time I go to Walmart I'll try on the small. Hopefully the small will have the same body-flattering fit only with longer sleeves. That'd be awesome. I just worry the small will be too loose around the torso; that's usually the case.
This blazer could be really great for work. I have a bunch of black button-up shirts to slip on when it gets chilly, but they're all super big (they're comfy that way). Super big = unprofessional. But this new knit blazer is totally professional looking.
The blazer only comes in white and black, unfortunately. I can't really wear white with my skin tone, so I'll only be able to get this awesome wardrobe staple in one color. :(
I got two of the Miley Cyrus & Max Azria Stripe Jersey Pocket Skirts: one in Pepper and one in Viola. They were on clearance from $8 to $5.
The skirts are pretty cute. They're made of a lightweight jersey material. I'm not really fond of the pockets; I don't feel that they add anything to the design other than taking the skirts precariously close to frumpishness.
I also picked up the Miley Cyrus & Max Azria Long-Sleeve V-Neck Burnout Waffle Tee in four colors: Rosebloom, Pink Coral, Orchid, and Plum Berry. They were on clearance from $8 to $3.
These had the weirdest fit of any shirt I've ever tried on. My arms are like sticks but the sleeves were so tight I had trouble getting them on. If the sleeves were twisted so that the seams did candy cane swirls around my arms, then I had to take the shirt off and put it back on again because the sleeves were so tight on my arms I couldn't move or adjust them in any way.
So, the V-Neck Burnout Waffle Tees are totally going back. They're basically unwearable. And it's not me: it's them. The shirts get some awful reviews. Lots of people have problems with the bad fit and the easily damaged fabric.
It sucks 'cause I love how long the sleeves are. Why'd they have to waste the super long sleeves on these shirts and make the knit blazer sleeves two millimeters away from being too short? boo
