According to this About.com Drinking Water article, I take my weight in pounds, divide it by two, and that's the number of ounces of water per day that I need to drink. I weigh around 106 pounds, so that's 53 ounces of water. I need to drink about seven cups of water a day.
... Yeah, I don't drink anywhere near that amount. I need to really try to do that.
MayoClinic: How much water should you drink every day?
One thing I've been doing is drinking more hot tea. When I have a cup of hot something-or-other in front of me, I drink it before it goes cold. When I have a cup of cold water in front of me, it can sit there for hours and I'll barely touch it. So drinking tea helps me get closer to my goal of 7 cups of water a day.
Do you have any tricks you use to drink more water?

I have always loved drinking water! So it's not hard for me. But a while back, I started to drink 100 ounces a day!! That is a little much, even for a water lover like myself!! But what I did was to use a 50 ounces Bubba Mug (Yes, I said Bubba!) and drank two of those a day. Of course, it's easy for me to use that because I stay home with my kids, I wouldn't want to lug Bubba around with me to work!

That's really interesting about how you can work out how much water you should be drinking! I never drink enough at work, so may try the tea tip!

It's a very strange way of reminding myself but I'd eat something really really sweet every day. Afterward, I am always thirsty so I glug a bottle of water or two. That's my way of getting my daily water consumption =)
